How to Make a Floral Casket Pillow
- 1
Lay foam piece on work table. Remove plastic covering. Cut into shape if desired. - 2
Start at one corner and attach wide ribbon with wire pieces or greening pins to foam. Fold ribbon as you go to create a ruffle effect. - 3
Cut floral stems no longer that one inch. - 4
Insert a toothpick through the stem and into the bulk of the flower center. Make sure the toothpick is firmly placed. - 5
Push flower topped toothpick into the foam. Fill the entire top surface of the foam with flowers at staggered heights. Foam should be completely covered. - 6). Take one half dozen roses or carnations in water filled floral tubes and gather them together in a spray with a tied ribbon. Lay across center of the floral background at an angle. Push the end of an 18-inch piece of wire through the foam. Wrap around the spray and push the other end through the foam on the other side of the spray to firmly secure. Turn foam over and wrap the two wire ends together. Repeat with second wire if spray feels loose.
- 7). Make a 10 to 12 loop bow on a wired stick and gently ease into the spray for a finished look.
