11
There are certain things in life that are destined to happen and menopause for all women is one of them. Prior to menopause, it is important for women to understand this stage in their life so that they can face it boldly and with stride.

There are various symptoms that may precede menopause. A few women may experience every symptom but others may have only a few.

One of the early menopause symptoms is an irregular period. A few women may experience heavy bleeding whilst some light bleeding which can be between a day to 10 days. There can be breakthroughs in between menstrual cycles and it will become increasingly irregular in the end.

Women may also experience severe mood swings and cramps and this may worsen as the menopause stage nears. Some may also have problems with sleeping and breasts may become tender when the menopause stage is nearing. The desire for sex can also decrease drastically and due to vaginal dryness, they may also experience pain during sex. Some women may also have urinary problems.

A doctor should be consulted to confirm if such urinary problems are symptoms of menopause or not. Urinary tract infection, frequent urge to pass urine as well as incontinence during exercising along with coughing and sneezing are other early menopause symptoms.

Since hormone levels fluctuate at this stage, many other problems with the vagina and bladder may arise. The skin around the vagina thins out and the surrounding areas get more sensitized thus pain during sex. Thinning of the skin and losing of the muscle tone in the bladder may happen due to hormonal changes. This may induce urinary problems.

Apart from other symptoms, you may also face difficulty in losing weight even if you make sincere efforts.

Headaches and loss of memory are very rare in early menopause symptoms. Some women may also experience pain in muscles and joints. It is important to be mentally prepared to face these symptoms of menopause because they cannot be avoided. The symptoms can vary from woman to woman before transitioning to the final stage.
