    • 2). Watch out for the recent Canadian Lottery Check Scam! They have been sending our what appear to be real checks from Jones, Allen, & Fuquay, L.L.P. - 8828 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75243-7160. The check is real for all intensive purposes but when you cash it or deposit it the money will likely clear but then bounce and your bank will require you to cover the difference in your account. You will lose any amount deposited from this fraudulent check. My check was for Four Tousands Six Hundred Fifty and 00/100 **$4,650.00 but other checks have been for similar amounts.

In the letter it states that I won some kind of lottery drawing.

CDBCBelow is an exact word for word copy of what was written to me in this lottery scam letter. Things to look for: (poor grammar, missing commas and commas, oh and I never entered a lottery or picked those numbers.) Pretty hard to win a lottery like this when you don't enter it! Also you would pay a lot more than a $3,630.00 in taxes on a $250k lottery winning. Tax would be in the tens of thousands.

      Claim number: CDBC 560-3514

    • 4). Do not to believe a lottery scam like this because lottery any winners department that pays out these kind of winnings would make sure to call you or mail you a letter not with some way to pay the taxes but simply a check for your winnings. The taxes would likely be taken if at your request and then sent the difference.
