The Making Of A Perfume
We love to buy perfumes online and wear them as a way of masking our own body odour. The use of such methods to cover the body with nature's pleasing fragrances is not a new concept. Though the way of making perfumes has undergone a significant transformation over the years, most of the key ingredients have remained the same. Early perfume makers used to extract natural plant oils through pressing and steaming. The extracts were then burnt to freshen up the air around. The modern day perfume making process in general can be summarized as explained below.
The very first stage is that of collecting all the initial ingredients at the manufacturing centre. These ingredients are either natural extracts from plants and animals or are synthetic elements produced by scientists in the laboratory. There are several stages that are there in the extraction process also. The different plant substances are subjected to methods such as solvent extraction, maceration, enfleurage, steam distillation and expression. All these are carefully executed under the supervision of experts.
After the extraction process is complete, the stage of blending sets in. The various ready scents are blended together as per the formula that is created by a master perfumer for one particular perfume. At the time we buy perfumes online, it is not really visible as to how much amount of effort that has gone into creating the said formula. It may take as long as several years and a combination of up to 800 odd ingredients to come up with one formula that would work! The blending process ends with mixing the final product with the required amount of alcohol.
It is not possible to buy perfumes online just after the blending process is over because a fine perfume is aged for months or even years and after that a professional nose tests the concoction to ensure the correctness of all its notes and that it is able to create the intended effect the right way. Every perfume can have several notes but usually the three key notes of top, heart and under are common in all. Top notes wear off into the heart or central notes that provide the real body to the perfume. The under notes are ultimately the ones that you are left with for the longest time.
The specifics of the perfume making process are elaborate and are required to be performed with utmost care so that the ultimate result is as lovely as planned.
