Bentley's Saloon

• Ask anyone in Southern Maine about biker bars and camping, and they'll tell you about Bentley's on Route 1 in Arundel. This isn't a "rough crowd" motorcycle club type of place, though everyone is welcome; it's more of a place for riding clubs or anyone who is a fan of motorcycles. The campgrounds are clean and affordable, and there's a pig roast every Saturday. Bentley's is closed for the off-season (November through March).

Warden's Bar & Grill

• Owned by Jenny "Warden" Gagne and her husband Neal, Warden's Bar & Grill -- "Where we like to play rough" (wearing club colors is okay) -- is located across from Hannaford on Sabattus Street in Lewiston. Warden's has pool tournament teams, an enclosed smoking area in the back and live bands every Saturday night. There's also a full kitchen and free bottled water and a "Tipsy Taxi" service to ensure all customers make it home safely.

Solon Hotel and Bar

• Solon, Maine's website describes the town as the "gateway to the Old Canada Road Scenic Byway," making it a favorite for people looking for great rides through beautiful countryside. The Solon Hotel and Bar is biker owned and operated. Not only biker friendly, this spot was written up in Esquire by a nonbiker who suggested visitors should take care not to offend other patrons. One reviewer on Tripadvisor.com notes, "They have fresh meat and seafood, sandwiches, pizza and just about anything you need from sewing kits to ammo."

The Evergreens Campground

• Birch, pine and oak trees surround this campground on the Kennebec River. This is a family campground with frequent mentions among bikers' online discussion groups as a great spot to enjoy fishing, swimming and other camping activities.
