Client Server Software Testing
- Client-side testing primarily involves testing the effectiveness of the Graphic User Interface. The GUI governs the ease of use experience for the client/user. Testing methods include using structured capture/playback tools.
- Server side testing involves load testing, volume testing, stress testing, performance testing and data recovery testing. Companies can choose from a variety of testing tools and software to help conduct these tests based on their unique client-server application.
- Since both client and server testing involve putting the complete client-server system under load, network testing automatically occurs as a result. However, after testing, IT professionals need to do proper network bandwidth and capacity planning to ensure the client-server system can handle the user traffic once the system goes operational.
