Is Expensive Designer Lingerie Worth The Higher Price Tag, Or Is It Just As Good To Buy From the Hig
While we all know you can get clothes that look great from the high street, or in some cases even the supermarket, the appeal of expensive designer labels still remains. Despite what seem like huge savings when you get a copy of a catwalk trend for cheap from Topshop or New Look, cheaper clothes never last as long, and can lose their colour and shape after just a few washes. Naturally, this doesn't really matter if it is something you just want to wear for one season, or a cheap top you'll probably only wear out a couple of times, but when it is something you need better quality out of or intend to keep for years, such as jeans, black trousers, coats, jackets and suits, spending more can pay off. So how about underwear? Designer lingerie can cost an absolute fortune, whereas you can pick up some quite cute styles from most of your favourite high street shops, or even supermarkets like Asda and Tesco, for next to nothing. Are the expensive options worth it?
Fit
If you are looking for everyday pants, then no, you may as well just buy them from where they are cheap if they have styles you like, however when it comes to bras, and any fancy body shaping stuff, then you really are best off spending the extra money. This is because when you buy your underwear from a proper lingerie shop or department store you can get a proper bra fitting, and that will make sure you buy the right size. Most women don't actually know their real size, and as a result wear bras that don't offer enough support, don't give them the right shape, and can cause shoulder and back pain. Expensive bras will not only fit better, but will retain their shape and fit for much longer.
Function
It isn't just the fit of expensive underwear that makes designer lingerie worth the money in some cases, but also the function. Things like suspender belts can be really fiddly, and if they are always coming undone, leaving the stockings rolling down your leg, they can be the most annoying things in the world to wear. The same goes for lace up styles like corsets, and any kind of body sculpting style of underwear - if it doesn't stay in place or becomes looser or comes undone at random, you won't enjoy wearing it at all.
