3 Simple Dog Grooming Tips To Clean Your Jack Russell"s Face

2
I have known of people who find that dog grooming is a challenge and as a result of it, they tend to put it off.
However I strongly believe that regularly grooming their dog should be a part of the routine for any dog owner.
As for me, I set a schedule to groom my Jack Russell terriers and I would like to share with you 3 very simple dog grooming tips that I used very successfully with my Jack Russell dogs to clean their face as a part of the grooming process.
Here are the steps I use to properly clean my terrier's face: 1.
First, I gently wash the skin around the eyes of my Jack Russell with a new cotton ball that I dipped in warm water.
I use this moist cotton ball to wipe away any dirt around the eye area.
As I wipe the dirt away, I also look out for any discharge, cuts or inflammations.
If I see those, I will then take my Jack Russell to a vet to make sure everything is ok.
2.
Next I will clean the ears.
I will use a new cotton ball and also moisten the cotton ball in the warm water to clean the ears.
I will gently wipe the ears and make sure that I do not probe too deep into the ear canal.
As I wipe the ears, I will also take notice of any excessive wax, dirt or smell coming from the ears.
Fresh cotton ball will be used for each ear 3.
Finally, I will gently wipe the whole face with another new and moisten cotton ball.
While wiping his face, I will clean off the loose skins so that dirt will not be deposited there.
Dirt carries bacteria which may cause infection.
I normally groom my terriers face this way on a daily basis.
I find that the advantage to a regular grooming program for my dogs is that I am able to spot any anomalies before they become a problem.
However do note that sometimes certain dogs may take a while to get used to this grooming process.
If that happens, you will have to be patient and gentle with them.
The dog grooming process is also a time for me to bond with my dogs.
They normally look forward to the grooming sessions I have with them and we enjoyed these sessions very much.
