So, here are some of the tips which you can use: 1) Put your dog in a laying down position.
2) Get the dog used to having his feet and toes handled.
While relaxing, hold and manipulate the dog's paw.
Praise your dog effusively, give her a treat.
3) Use only trimmers designed for dogs.
There are several styles of trimmers, including a guillotine type and a scissors type.
The guillotine type is the easiest to use in dogs.
Often dog owners use blade, knife or scissors but that is wrong way and It will only gonna hurt your dog.
4) Firstly clip one nail to start.
Then clip two at a time.
A few days later, clip three at a time.
Do not try to clip all the dog's nails at once.
5) Start cutting nail from tip.
Keep your focus on the cut edge of the nail, when you start to see light pink color tissue near the top of the cut edge, stop.
Start filing to smooth the edges.
6) Be extra careful when cutting dark nails.
