How to Install Fender Flares

4
    • 1). Unbolt the existing fender flares from the vehicle using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket set. They're usually held on by bolts mounted from the backside that can be accessed by reaching behind the fender.

    • 2). Lay the fender flare against the body of the Jeep to make sure it fits correctly. Make sure the front edge lines up with the bumper and the bottom edge lines up with the bottom of the fender, so that it looks correct and how you want it to appear.

    • 3). Drill holes for the fender flares in the body using the drill and drill bits if your vehicle did not have existing fender flares. There is an included template with the kit, so use that for reference.

    • 4). Install the foam tape on the backside of the fender flare using your hands. The tape is double-sided, so peel off one side and place it on the flare, then you can peel off the other side just before you install it.

    • 5). Peel off the second layer of the foam tape and place the fender on the body, aligning the holes in the fender flare and the holes in the body.

    • 6). Bolt the fender flare to the body using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket set, and the factory hardware. Repeat this process for each corner.
