A few years ago in South Yorkshire, England, I was woken up by the sound of water dripping in my bathroom. The dripping wasn't that loud, but it was consistant enough to stop me from drifting back to sleep. Eventually I got the nerve to try turning the tap off.

The hot tap in our bathroom has mysteriously been on at around 3:00 a.m., never the cold, always the hot. As I got up to turn the tap off, I noticed the light in the bathroom wouldn't turn on, which was very daunting at the time.


Nevertheless, I attempted to turn the tap off anyway, when a picture on the right side of the wall (closest to the sink) suddenly fell off the wall and landed in the sink. I ran back into my room as this was a very unnerving experience.

The next day I went into the bathroom to find the light working and the picture to have a special hinge on it, meaning it couldn't have just fallen off the wall by its own means. To this day I rarely venture into my bathroom at night.
