How to Make Homemade Puppy Pads
- 1). Lay the vinyl tablecloth on the floor. A 5-square-foot area is usually plenty of room, but you may need more depending on your dog. Vinyl works great because it is nonabsorbent, so urine and feces can easily be wiped up.
- 2). Put three layers of newspaper on top of the tablecloth. The newspaper will absorb urine and help prolong the use of the tablecloth.
- 3). Remove and discard the soiled newspaper each time the dog urinates or defecates on it. Wipe the tablecloth down with a damp washcloth and soap to remove any excess urine.
- 4). Dry the tablecloth with a towel and lay fresh newspaper down.
