How to Reset a Canon IP3500 Ink Tank
- 1). Remove the battery bay panel on the bottom of the Canon cartridge chip resetter. Insert the included battery into the battery bay, then replace the battery bay panel.
- 2). Set the Canon cartridge chip resetter on a flat surface.
- 3). Insert the refilled cartridge into the chip resetter with the metal contacts facing down and the label facing up so the cartridge number is right-side up.
- 4). Press down on the cartridge so that it contacts firmly against the chip resetter contacts. The red light on the chip resetter will flash once, then show a solid light. The solid light indicates that the chip on the ink cartridge has been reset to read as if the cartridge is new, meaning "full."
- 5). Remove the cartridge from the chip resetter and install it into the Canon Pixma iP3500 printer.
