How to Create Shortcuts for Windows Explorer
- 1). Right-click in a blank area on your desktop and select "New." Choose "Shortcut" from the resulting sub-menu.
- 2). Click the "Browse" button.
- 3). Open the "Computer" item (or "My Computer," in older versions of Windows), followed by "OS (C:)" and the "Windows" folder.
- 4). Scroll down the list until you reach the "Explorer" entry. Click this item and click "OK" (or "Open," in older versions of Windows).
- 5). Click "Next."
- 6). Give the shortcut a name (e.g., "Windows Explorer") in the corresponding field and click "Finish." The shortcut to Windows Explorer is created on your desktop. Click and drag the icon to move it to another location on your computer.
