How to Troubleshoot an HP 3030 Printer
- 1). Remove the paper from the input tray. Replace the paper stack and adjust the paper guides so they are against the paper's margins.
- 2). Check the paper's package to make sure that type of paper is made for use in a laser printer. Replace the paper with a type made for use in a laser printer and that is free from embossing.
- 3). Remove the printer's power cord. Pull out the input paper tray and set it aside.
- 4). Place your hands inside the opening the input tray fits into, with your palms up. Push your fingers into the printer until you feel the end of the input area.
- 5). Curl your fingers upward to push the black Mylar light shield upward. Make sure the light shield rests parallel to the floor.
- 6). Replace the printer's input tray and plug the power cord back in.
- 1). Open the printer's top cover. Pull out the print cartridge by the handle and set it aside with a piece of paper over it.
- 2). Pull out any stuck paper with both hands, making sure to remove any small pieces that tear off. Reinstall the print cartridge and close the top cover.
- 3). Remove all loose paper from the input tray. Pull the input tray free from the printer.
- 4). Pull out any stuck paper in the front of the printer, and then replace the input tray. Turn off the printer, and then turn it back on.
