Golf Improvement, Even the Pros Get Help - Golf Tips to a Better Game
Golf ready before you play.
I am not a runner but I know for a fact that runners warm up and start slow before they go 100%.
So many times I see golfers show up at the golf course 10 minutes before their tee time, maybe hit a couple of shots and off to the first tee they go.
Is it a wonder when things don't go well? Try to get to the course early enough to hit at least a small bucket of balls and start your round ready and positive.
Everyone's warm up is unique and certainly is totally up to you, but if your routine isn't working try this.
1.
Start your warm up with some stretching.
Young or older your muscles really do need to be stretched for ultimate flexibility.
2.
Start hitting your shots with a club in your bag that you like and swing smooth.
3.
Next pull out a club in your bag that you struggle with.
Make a fun drill out of it.
Hit 3 or more shots in a row well.
(what's acceptable is for you to decide but remember you're going to the course and target golf is the goal) It's good to put that club back when it has behaved, lol.
4.
Once you have completed #3 move bag to a club in your bag that you have the most confidence in.
It is so important to go to the first tee with positive thoughts.
Love it when someone is hitting balls at the range, things don't go well and off they go.
Hmm, wonder why their round doesn't turn out the way they wanted.
5.
Remember that this is a game.
If things aren't going well you probably need to practice more.
If you're struggling, get some help from a teaching professional.
(Even the best PGA players have teachers every day) 6.
If your round goes well, keep some notes on what you did that worked so great that day.
7.
If your round didn't go so well, take a little time to go back out to the range and practice the shots you struggled with the most.
Encourage those who are new to golf to enjoy this incredible sport to the best of their ability.
Your best and someone else's best is only relevant to their skills and abilities.
I always cheer for someone when they hit a great shot.
If there is only one than at least they had one.
Tomorrow will be more.
It is a sport for everyone to enjoy a day on top of the grass with friends and family.
Hope this helps, See you on the Links! Cindy
