Train Travel in Holland
- Fast domestic trains connect Holland's main towns and cities. Reservations are not required. At least four trains an hour run between the main cities of Amsterdam, the Hague, Rotterdam and Utrecht, which are less than 45 minutes from each other by train. Most other cities in Holland are connected by trains running twice an hour.
- Schipol is Holland's main international airport. Trains run regularly from Schipol to Amsterdam--a 15- to 20-minute ride. Trains from Schipol also run to Utrecht, which is a little over 30 minutes away and is the main hub for travel in Holland. Trains from Schipol station run to at least 26 different cities in Holland.
- Trains run every hours from the Dutch cities Amsterdam and Rotterdam to the Belgium cities Antwerpen and Brussels. Trains to Germany run from from Amsterdam and Utrecht to Munich, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Berlin. Train service to Switzerland is offered from Amsterdam and Utrecht to Zurich and Basel.
