• With the year-round sunny weather and an agreeable climate, Lakeland, Florida, located in the central region of the Sunshine State, is a great destination to host a car show. The city is, in fact, home to one of the premier classic car shows in the state, the Lake Mirror Classic, a downtown auto festival that showcases vintage cars. Lake Mirror Classic

• The Lake Mirror Classic is the premier classic car show held in Lakeland, Florida --- and is billed as the signature classic car event for the central Florida region. The event regularly features more than 500 vehicles and hosts a "best-in-show" competition. Several classes of cars are typically showcased, including cars from the 1920s and 1930s, cars produced in the post-World War II era (up until 1966), and muscle cars. This popular event attracts more than 30,000 spectators. An annual event, it lasted from Oct.15 through Oct. 17 in 2010, and featured roughly 700 classic cars.
  
  

Mojo's Classic Car Show

• Held at Mojo's Wings, Burgers, & Beer eating establishment, the Mojo's Classic Car Show gives patrons a chance to show off their vintage wheels while stopping in for a beer or a bite to eat. Staged on East Memorial Boulevard, in the Mojo's parking lot, the classic car show is held on the first Saturday of each month. The event is free and open to the public, and averages about 60 showcased cars, from vintage cruisers to classic sports cars. Highlighting the event is a raffle for prizes, and the top-three cars, as voted on by those in attendance, receive trophies. Inside, Mojo's provides its customers with a range of traditional American fare, such as buckets of wings and shrimp, as well as everyday Happy Hour specials.
  
  

Lakeland Cruise-In Car Shows

• Lakeland Cruise-In Car Shows are a series of car shows held throughout the Lakeland, Florida, area. The shows are held at a variety of locations, such as auto store parking lots. Collectors can bring their cars for exhibition, and cars from all eras are welcome. These car shows also feature other attractions, such as raffles and door prizes. Food and beverages are always served, often featuring local eateries such as Hellacious Hot Dogs.
