An Amazing Park in Warsaw
The origin The Royal Baths Park is the main part of the Warsaw Royal Route and one of the most beautiful park-and-palace complex in Poland.
The name stems from bathing pavilion that was located at that area.
The complex was initially designed by Tylman van Gameren in 17th century for StanisBaw Lubomirski , however, the shape of the complex changed when StanisBaw Poniatowski was elected.
He appointed Domenico Merlini and Jan Kamsetzer to reconstruct the palace and Jan Schuch to reorganize the landscape.
They fulfilled the area with classical buildings, flowery meadows and picturesque ponds.
The Palace on the Water ( Aazienkowski Palace) The Palace on the Water was built using elements of the former bathing pavilion.
It is brilliantly located on an island connected with land by two arcaded bridges.
The Aazienki Palace has richly ornamented classical elevations ending in attics and sculptures.
The Palace Museum present Dutch tiles, reliefs, paintings from the royal collection and furniture dating back to 18th century.
The Rococo styled ballroom is a special attraction.
Peacocks walking in the front of the castle are the next tourist entertainment.
Classical surrounding There are several other objects worth seeing.
The largest art gallery in Poland is organized in the Old Orangery.
There are over 700 exhibits available to tourists.
Despite being located among exotic trees the gallery is enlightened by sunrays.
The white House was erected as a gift to king's beloved El|bieta Grafowska.
It is the building with four identical facades.
Interiors present decorations by Plersch and parlour room designed in Chinese style.
The Herkulanum, located close to the Palace on the Water, is an imitation of a Roman ancient theatre.
It is the place where in summer plays and concerts are performed.
An exclusive restaurant called Belvedere is founded in the New Orangery.
The restaurant is decorated with sculptures and exotic plants.
The tank, which is located near the descent to the park, was used to provide water to the palace and fountains.

It was rebuilt by Prince Konstanty in 1818-1822.
Belweder was a pattern for nobleman's manors.
During interwar period it was the Polish President residence.
Next to the Belveder there is the Chopin Sculpture where summer piano concerts are played.
Walking through the park one can encounter squirrels or be delighted by birds songs.
It is also possible to admire the park from gondolas that float around the artificial lake.
