Clean Print Heads via Installed Driver

• 1). Turn on the HP DeskJet 450.
  
  
• 2). Click on "Start," then "Control Panel." Locate the "Printers" icon and double-click. Double-click on the HP DeskJet 450 Icon. This brings up the properties of the printer.
  
  
• 3). Click on the "Services" tab, locate the "Clean Print Cartridge" option and when prompted click "OK." This automatically starts the print head cleaning function.
  
  

Clean Print Heads Manually

• 1). Turn on the HP DeskJet 450.
  
  
• 2). Press the "Power" button on the printer and hold down. Continue to hold down the "Power" button while pressing the "Cancel" button two times.
  
  
• 3). Release the "Power" button. This triggers the printer to begin the print head cleaning process. Do not turn off the printer or attempt to print any documents until cleaning is complete.
