Mum, ma, mommy, mama...
we address her in a lot of names.
In essence, meaning an extremely reckoned individual in our lives, whom we envision as somebody who'd look after us in every sense of the word.
Not to mention by whose belly we descended from.
Even before we were born, each of us is appointed a mother who'd hold us dear.
And how she's going to nurture us is all written in the stars.
Not as if we have an option in this.
Yet, if we were given the exclusive right, how would you wish your Mom to be? Would you like someone who's affectionate, sweet and gentle? Someone who'd smother you with love and tenderness? Someone who minds and understands? Who has the time and is forever there twenty-four/seven? And course, someone who can bring home the bacon as well? Whoever has that for a mom, I'm up for adoption.
Kidding aside, as they say, we can't possess everything we desire out of life.
You can merely have a few of that.
In this modern-day and age, many women have embarked into making a life of her own aside from playing an important part of a family.
A lot of women these days have made a vocation for themselves, simultaneously accepting domesticity in good spirits.
It is an acknowledged reality these days that it's not entirely the men who provides for the family's needs, but women also.
Mothers who juggle a flourishing career and a home.
Tending to both can be tedious and exhausting.
It will blow out the wits out of you.
Even so, the power to provide financially to your family with whatever they ask is fulfilling.
To be able to send off your children to the best schools.
To be able to lay food on the table and to save about adequate to sustain your family through the rainy days is an accomplishment.
But as always, there's a downside to it.
Increase in profit, signifies heavy work load.
Heavy work load means additional time.
Additional time implies more time out of your home and little time to interact.
Guilty? I know that for a fact.
My mom is and eventually so I have become.
Very well, and so that's established.
Now, let's take a peek at the other side of the palisade.
The side, I for some reason wish to be in from time to time.
A domicile stationed mommy.
A stay at home mater equals more time.
More time to be with the family.
More time to commit to each and everyone's needs.
She's the one whom you are able to run to for advice on almost anything.
The most dependable person to request for a mouth-watering home prepared meal.
The person whom daddy asks for a rub down...
the mom within reach.
It is a very noble position to be in, to be able to set your family's interest first at all times.
Indeed it is an unselfish character to play.
And since it is selfless, truth is, the woman eventually will lose her sense of individuality.
The uniqueness of being herself.
In entirety, established altogether, neither one actually supersedes the other.
Neither one is to a lesser degree as the other as well.
The mom each one of us is blessed with is designed for a particular purpose.
The profundity of a mother's love is of no measure.
We must celebrate their purpose and individual choices in life.
If they chose to decide on which path to take, appreciate it with utmost respect.
Whichever way of life she takes, there will always be an upstream and downstream to that path.
Only our mom recognizes what is best.
It may be a cliche, but it is true.
