  The HP Pavilion DV9000 comes with a number of options to help productivity on the go. You can control the computer with an optional remote control, enabling you to switch through presentation slides or control video without being right next to the computer. The DV9000 also comes with HP Photosmart Premiere, Cyberlink's DVD Play and Microsoft Works 8.0, among other software.

• The Pavilion DV9000 comes with an AMD Turion 64 X2 processor with 256 kilobytes plus 256 kilobytes of L2 cache. The computer also comes with 1024 megabytes of DDR2 memory, but the computer can handle up to 2 gigabytes of DDR2 memory. The computer has 256MB of dedicated video memory and a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 card.
  
  

Drives and Connections

• The DV9000's hard drive has 120GB of storage space and rotates at up to 5,400 revolutions per minute. As for an optical drive, the computer has a multi-DVD writer that has the ability to read and write to DVDRs and DVDRWs. The DVD writer also comes with double-layer support. The computer has an internal 56K modem and is equipped to connect to a 10/100 LAN through its Ethernet port. The computer also has drives to read SD cards, multi-media cards and memory sticks. The computer features four USB 2.0 ports, two headphones ports, one microphone port, an RJ-45 Ethernet port, and RJ-11 port, one VGA port for connecting to an external monitor, an S-video port for connecting to a TV and an infrared port for use with an optional remote control.
