    • 1). Fill a sink with warm water and add several drops of liquid dish soap. Pour 1 cup of white vinegar into the water and swish the contents with your hand.

    • 2). Submerge the dog collar in the sink. Gently scrub both sides of the collar clean with an old toothbrush.

    • 3). Let the pet collar soak in the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes. The white vinegar will eliminate odors trapped in the fibers of the collar.

    • 4). Drain the mixture from the sink and rinse the collar clean with cool running water. Hang the collar away from direct heat and out of direct sunlight. Let the dog collar air dry for several hours.

    • 5). Clean leather dog collars with a lint-free cloth dampened in leather cleaner and conditioner. Buff the collar dry with a clean lint-free cloth.
