HP Pavilion ZT1000 Series Specifications
- The HP Pavilion ZT1000 is a laptop computer aimed at the home user market. It features a large screen, dedicated audio buttons, SD card reader and accelerated graphics with dedicated memory, giving it solid multimedia capabilities. It offers a range of ports and a reasonable travel weight, making it an excellent computer for use both at home and on the road.
- HP ships the Pavilion ZT1000 with both Celeron and Pentium 4 Mobile processors at speeds starting at 866 and 933 megahertz, respectively. It supports PC-133 SD-RAM and has two SO-DIMM slots, each of which can hold a module with up to 512 megabytes of storage.
- The ZT1000 can have any of four displays. HP makes the computer with three XGA display sizes -- 13.3, 14 and 15 inches all displaying an image that is 1024 pixels wide and 768 pixels tall. They also make a 15-inch SXGA+ display, which carries a resolution of 1400 horizontal pixels and 1050 vertical pixels. An integrated S3 Savage 4 processor provides hardware accelerated graphics.
- IDE hard drives ranging from 10-gigabyte to 40-gigabyte capacities are available for this computer. HP also offers a choice of a CD-ROM reader, CD-ROM writer, DVD/CD reader, or combination CD-writer and DVD-reader drive. The computer also features a slot for SD flash memory cards.
- The port complement on Pavilion ZT1000 series computers varies from machine to machine. Every ZT1000 features a legacy parallel port, three USB ports, VGA monitor output, RJ-45 LAN port, PC card slot, and full complement of audio jacks. Some machines may also have an S-video port, IEEE 1394 Firewire port, or RJ-11 modular connector for the modem.
- As with other specifications for this computer, the ZT1000's size and weight both differ based on its configuration. Computers with 13.3- and 14.1-inch screens are 12.5 inches wide, 10.75 inches deep and 1.4 inches thick. Pavilion ZT1000's with 15-inch screens, though, are a bit larger, measuring 12.99 inches wide, 10.94 inches deep and 1.47 inches thick. Although they can weigh as little as 5 pounds, a well-equipped computer can weigh 7.6 pounds.
