- A number of self-proclaimed witches debate the ethical consequences of using white magic in the case of love. Love spells, which come in a variety of forms, can have a number of outcomes, opening the debate about whether it is indeed a form of white magic.
- In many fantasy books, characters such as elves or fairies are generally seen to use white magic. In card games such as "Magic: The Gathering" and "Yu-Gi-Oh" feature characters that use white magic as a form of sorcery.
