University of Mississippi Choral Scholarships

• The University of Mississippi's music department offers scholarships for students who participate in one of the college choirs. Students can sing with the concert singers, women's glee, men's glee, women's ensemble or university chorus. All student participants in ensembles are eligible regardless of major. Students must audition for ensembles. Selection for scholarships is based on talent, the student's financial needs and the needs of the choral program. Scholarship amounts vary and can cover up to full tuition. Scholarships are processed through the university's financial aid office.
  
  

Texas A&M University-Commerce Scholarships

• Texas A&M University-Commerce offers music scholarships based on merit and talent. Students who apply for vocal scholarships participate in the school's chorale and receive private lessons. Only music majors with a GPA of at least 2.75 are eligible for the scholarships. The awards are renewable for up to five years. Students can apply for work-study scholarships to work in the choir office for eight to 10 hours per week. University of New Mexico Department Scholarships

• The University of New Mexico's music department has seven scholarships available to undergraduate and graduate students who participate in choral groups or study choral music education. Awards are funded through endowments or the department's operating expenses. Selection is based on merit and auditions. For choral groups, the director of choral activities chooses winners from the general scholarship awards process. Award amounts vary and are available on a continual basis.
  
  

Northwestern Oklahoma State University Choral and Vocal Studies Scholarships

• The music program at Northwestern Oklahoma State University offers scholarships for participating in choral groups to music and nonmusic majors. The Participation Awards are scholarships from $400 to $1,000 for students who are enrolled in a choir, have at least a 2.5 GPA and complete a minimum of 24 credit hours per year. Vocal scholar awards are for students who plan to major in vocal music education or vocal music performance. To participate in any choir, students must first audition. Marist College Chapel Choir Scholarship

• Marist College in New York State's Hudson Valley offers a scholarship for an incoming student who participates in the school's chapel choir. The group performs at the school's Sunday liturgy and other religious services. The Charles & Mabel Conklin Chapel Endowment Scholarship is open to Catholic students with prior church choir experience and grades that meet scholarship eligibility requirements. Students must audition for the scholarship with the campus minister for liturgy. The award is administered by the school's financial aid office and applied directly to the students' expenses.
