Slough is located in Berkshire and is considered a borough.
It is just on the outskirts of London and is close to Maidenhead, Windsor, Bracknell and Uxbridge.
Slough grew over time because of its location on the Great West Road.
Many travellers would change their horses in Slough and eventually it became part of the Great Western Railway.

LTD was established as this large company attracted a lot of workers from around the world.
The destruction of London due to World War II also caused the population to increase as people were moving outside of London.
Today the borough is undergoing redevelopment as it is being made into a cultural area specifically for international communications, information and creative media.
Originally this area was known for its agriculture and brickfields.
As travel became more popular many pubs and inns were created.
In the mid 1880s livestock auctioning was held nearby until the Slough Trading Co Ltd took over.
Much of its industries are manufacture based.
  Some nearby attractions include Lego land.
Lego land features famous European sites all made out of Legos.
You can even view the Lego pigeons on the roofs of buildings.
There are plenty of rides for all ages and there are plenty of indoor activities for rainy days.
Osterly Park is a beautiful house maintained by the National trust.
It contains a shop, plenty of parkland to explore, tea room and the Robert Adam house.
The grounds are open year round and there are additional facilities for educational visits by groups.
Stockley Park Golf Course is a public 18 whole course.
You can take lessons or come for a day of golf.
You will need to have your own shoes and clubs and if you play too slowly they will hurry you along.
There are regular group sessions and a clubhouse to store your gear as well as to provide refreshments.
