• HEARTBEAT is a suicide support network founded in Colorado Springs, Colo. The organization provides a list of HEARTBEAT-affiliated support groups across Colorado and other states, including Arizona, Hawaii, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Mississippi, New York, Wisconsin and more. HEARTBEAT was founded in 1980 by LaRita Archibald after the suicide of her son. • The American Association of Suicidology provides a list of suicide grief support groups in every state in America and the provinces of Canada. In addition to a vast database of suicide grief support resources, the organization offers current suicide research, a survivors of suicide handbook, and a yearly suicide survivor conference.
