"Money" and "Happiness" You Can Have Them Both
"Money" is one of those things that we just cannot seem to live without. You know what I mean "Money" seems to make the world go around. We all remember that old saying that "Money" can't buy you love or that "Money" can't make you "Happy". Well let me tell you what I know about "Money". "Money" may not be able to buy love or even make you "Happy", but it sure can set you up with an attitude that is willing to accept that love or "Happiness" when it does arrive.
I have to assume that I have your interest now since everyone is interested in "Money". Yes "Money" does make the world go around because we cannot keep the lights turned on, or the house payment up to date, or gas in the car, or medical bills paid, or food on the table, or all the other conveniences we have grown accustomed to. We just can't do any of these things without an adequate amount of "Money" to make them happen. Without all our modern conveniences including a grocery store on every corner we would be stressed out of our heads right? Of course we would.
That makes it sound like "Money" can buy "Happiness", but in reality it is not the "Money" that buys the "Happiness" it is the peace of mind that comes from having the bills paid that creates an atmosphere where "Happiness" can occur. Now I just said "Happiness" can occur and that is what I meant. "Happiness" can occur when other elements are in place to give it room to grow, but that does not mean it will happen just because there is enough "Money" to supply all your wants and needs. "Happiness" can even occur in the direst of circumstances. That's because "Happiness" is a state of mind.
"Happiness" develops even where there is no "Money" to be had, but most people in our society are only familiar with the "Happiness" that comes attached to "Money". Ummm, did I really say that? I think I said that. Yes, I am sure I said that most people in our society are only familiar with the "Happiness" that comes attached to "Money". Ooooh that is controversial isn't it? Maybe I shouldn't have said "most" people but instead I should have said "many" yes that makes a bit more sense doesn't it.
If we are only looking at the things that "Money" can buy to make us "Happy" then we are probably not looking for "Happiness" at all, we are looking for the momentary "Pleasure" that things can provide, and that can be very fleeting. "Pleasure" is a totally different emotion altogether and depends on external components to make it happen. "Happiness" on the other hand comes from within and depends on the individual's interpretation of the events that affect their life. In other words, "Happiness" is a state of mind, an attitude, and cannot be contrived. It is what it is and should be the goal of all.
Not everyone in our nation has access to adequate amounts of "Money" to help them create "Happiness", but each one of us has the ability to adjust our own attitudes to accept "Happiness" into our lives. It all depends on our outlook and that can be changed to fit the need. Along with that each of us has the "Opportunity" to change our "Financial" circumstances in order to create the peace of mind that supports "Happiness". "Opportunities" include taking a full time or second job to provide "Extra Income" or working a part time job for additional "Money" to make ends meet. Other "Opportunities" that are available are "Online Home Based Businesses" that can help bring in "Extra Money" or even "Replace an Income" when selected properly.
