• There are many metal components within cars that can be reused for other purposes rather than being left to sit in a junkyard or landfill. One ingenious idea is to use old seat-belt buckles as key holders for your home. The buckle is affixed to your wall---ideally in your kitchen, hallway or foyer---and you connect the seat belt clip to your key chain. You simply insert your keys into the buckle to hang so that you'll never forget where they are in your house. You can collect or save a bunch of these buckles from a junkyard from the cars that are scheduled to be crushed.
