Our God is a God of Many Second Chance
Our God is a God of Many Second Chance
Written by Joseph Ho, 3rd January 2015
Christians are all ugly people, by that I mean they are not saints. Many have committed crimes and sins in the most grievous sense. But they are now all in the faith because they have all sincerely repented of their actions. The world does not give such people a second chance, but God does and he will restore and revival that which are dead. All the great men have sinned in their lives even those mighty men in the bible, yet God does not see their sins, he sees the potential in that men. But God is looking for a true repentant heart to work with. Let's look at all the great men in the bible.
Abraham was a coward and a liar.
Isaac was also a coward and a liar, like father like son.
Moses was a murderer.
Jacob was a schemer and a thief.
David was a murderer and an adulterer.
Samson was a patron of prostitutes.
Solomon had many wives and made covenants with ungodly people.
The world has no wisdom to comprehend that such great men are few and far in between. In order to make such great men, they have to live a long time and be given great tasks to handle. Failure is God great training ground. I salute all the fallen people of God who have learnt a mighty lesson that all hidden things shall be exposed and the Word of God reign supreme upon the face of the earth. No one can escape the eyes of the Lord God who watches over the entire earth. Our Christian God is not fooling around with his people, he mean business and he will do to anyone he wishes to make as sons and daughters.
Hebrews 12:8King James Version (KJV)
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
John 4:23-24New International Version (NIV)
23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth."
Psalm 11:4New International Version (NIV)
4 The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord is on his heavenly throne.
He observes everyone on earth; his eyes examine them.
God chastise everyone he calls son. He will discipline and removed all things which are offensive to him. In this way the chosen man will be empty and zeroed to be useful to him. All his human and worldly ways will be removed by God as those things cannot be useful to God. God does not do things the human ways but he has to use the world physical things to accomplish his task, therefore he will choose a man who will be empty. Empty of all his wealth, position, high networks and cronies of the commercial powers, then whatever happens after can and will be ascribed to the glory of God. For God to shine in such a man he has to empty that man of such ungodly ways. Then only the power of God can shine through that man. Are you a candidate for God's end time moves? If you are now left with nothing then you are a potential person God can use to glorify himself.
Jeremiah 16:17New International Version (NIV)
17 My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from me, nor is their sin concealed from my eyes.
Jeremiah 13:16King James Version (KJV)
16 Give glory to the Lord your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.
Not all men are qualified for such end time moves, an empty man does not have any ambition, desires of his own; his entire world has collapse. Moses was such a man, he had everything in front of him, but the made a wrong move, he tried to take things unto his own hands. He killed an Egyptian just to save a Hebrew from being beaten. He used the ways of this world to manifest his destiny without God. And thus, he lost everything he had as a prince of Egypt, the great empire and the pinnacle of power and wealth. Such a man is a potential candidate for God's resurrection power. Peter denied God and he betrayed his only master, to his own shame, he was not able to confront himself that he was a man of no character. Yet Jesus came back to him to use him again. This time, Peter knew that whatever commitment that he gives to Jesus, it is truly from his heart. He learnt the lesson that one must be able to honour one's own words in order to be used by God. I see many people of loose lips, if God were to use such people they would have caused a tremendous loss of reputation to the name of our God. Many people give promises without seriously intending to keep them, they speak as if they had all the powers of the earth to fulfil their own promises to the friends and families. Such people speak presumptuously without thought and without honour. They don't know what is honour; yet they want to say things like everyone else. They speak empty words.
Leviticus 21:17-22King James Version (KJV)
17 Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.
18 For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,
19 Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,
20 Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;
21 No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the Lord made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.
22 He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.
The wisdom of the above verses are as follows:
1. Blemish means men with imperfection
2. Blind man don't see the truth
3. Lame man cannot move for God they move slowly, they walk crooked in life
4. Flat nose are those who have no discernment, they judge things wrongly
5. Broken foot are those who can no longer walk, as in bankruptcy, physically disabled
6. Broken hands are those who cannot serve, stingy cannot give
7. Crooked back are those without integrity
8. Dwarfs are those people with inferiority complexes, they see themselves small in the eyes of men
9. Scurvy or scabbed are those with unclean behaviours, gambling, smoking, sexual habits, negative thoughts, things unclean
10. Broken stones are the ones without proper testicles; they are the cowards who would not speak up for the truth even when they know it.
Such people cannot be used to minister in the Kingdom of God, so God has to give the Holy Spirit to help them to overcome their own weaknesses in order to be Holy unto the Lord during time of testing. To offer the bread of God, which is the truth of God, the word of God, they have to be chosen and approved by God, and people with the above defects cannot offer the bread of life to God's people because they themselves are imperfect. Only when God choose you then he will give of the Holy Spirit to compensate your weakness else you will not be able to offer the bread of life to those in need. God justifies all those he approves.
Only when you overcome those real-life tests, than you can be of use to God. These are the fiery furnace of God's test. Only the men who have fallen know the consequences of being true and righteous and honourable. Those chastise by God are now fit for the Kingdom purpose. Such men now know the value of honouring God. It is God who caused them to fall because of their own ways, they device schemes in order to defraud the people and think this is of God. God does not deceive, God ways are higher than our ways. God does not need to used deception to get people all fired up for nothing. He is the only trustworthy deity in the Universe. When God teaches a great man truth, will he then discard that man? I think not, having given a good lesson to such a man, God will again use him to do his work.
Moses was such a man. He was the prince of Egypt, the mighty second man to the Pharaoh at the time of the greatest heights of Egypt, Moses was powerful. He was trained and learned in all the ways of Egypt. He was skilled in the art of the Egypt. Now why would the Lord cause the daughter of the Pharaoh to raise Moses as her own son when the Pharaoh wanted all Israelite child killed? God is a great strategist. Know your enemy and know thyself that is the way of the warrior, our God is a God of wisdom. If Moses had not been to the Egyptian Palace, the magnificent display would have caused Moses heart to fail. The presence of such a place must be overcome by being familiar with it. It takes a man of confidence to be able to stand up to the Pharaoh. So God send Moses to learn all the ways in the Egyptian world and God send all the plagues that were targeted at the Egyptian gods which the Egyptian worshipped. Wherever you have fallen, that is the same place that God will again raise you up for a revival but God will give you a strategy which is different than what you are used to do. These trainings also take time and years to accumulate the knowledge of that world so it is also useful. So God has to make the man successful in those areas by causing him to learn and practice those ways. Then he will removed everything from you and let you relearn his ways.
Daniel 2:22New International Version (NIV)
22 He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness,
and light dwells with him.
Ecclesiastes 12:14New International Version (NIV)
14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.
Moses is like a CEO who have risen to great heights then fallen again due to a crime he committed. So living in disgrace he began to humble himself. God waited for Moses for 40 years to humble him before he can use him. I know there are many mighty men waiting aimlessly for a chance to climb back again into the corporate world. Unless God gives you a vision and a mission, there would be no assignment. The world will not accept such a fallen man. The world does not believe a man can change, the world looks at the past to project the future of a man, while God looks at the potential of a man. God can pick a rock can turn it into a diamond. Men picks up a rock and it stays as a rock nothing changes, because men have no power to change only God can change. The Holy Spirit is a gift and the doorway to this great change. Change a man's heart and he is changed.
Ezekiel 11:19New International Version (NIV)
19 I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.
Proverbs 21:1King James Version (KJV)
21 The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.
We are not fallen angels we are but man, and this world is made for the glory of men. God made this world so that we can have dominion over the animals and the land, so God wants us to learn how to be responsible for the land and for others. It is the journey that counts; the destination is heaven not earth. Why would God want us to have dominion over the land? He is looking for people who would learn his ways and then he would let those people whom he is pleased with to rule with him in eternity. This is the great lesson we need to overcome. We need to start learning the ways of God in order for him to place responsibility in our hands. Don't get me wrong, responsibility on earth is the first manifestation of what God will give us in times to come when we enter into eternity with him. If we have nothing on earth then we will be an ordinary citizen in heaven as well. We should not covet, steal or even manipulate to gain power or wealth over others. Everything we have is given by God, if you don't have you need to ask from God for he is the true owner of this world and he gives to whoever he wishes. It is God who gives us all things, our success, peace, joy, wealth, health are all given by him. He is the one who writes your destiny. So he can rewrite your destiny a second time if you failed the first time around.
Psalm 127:1New International Version (NIV)
1 Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.
So how does a fallen man rise again? He has to come to God and ask for a second chance. In his own mind he sees all is lost. But in the eyes of the Lord, he has a David for all the depressed, dejected, despondence soul to get another chance to make it good again. I see many great men who have made it big in the kingdom of God. They were once badly beaten, rejected by society, and lost their hope in life. The wealth, fame, power and glory which they chased after is fleeting. Worldly people will throw you aside once you have lost your position and wealth. They will despise you for losing all your wealth. And if you were an arrogant man who thinks he has luck on his side, then it would be worse for such a man, as people will never forget how they were treated when you were rich. So now they will return the same favour to you so that you know how they were badly treated.
To gain we have to empty ourselves so that God can fill in the best into our lives. Is this wisdom counter contrary to what the world teaches? Yes, it is. Only those who have gone this way knows the truth, therefore truth is expensive and not many knows it. They have not paid the price of truth, so truth does not come to them. Now who are the mighty men that have fallen, the lawyers who have lost their practice, the businessman who have gone bankrupt, the CEO who have been caught with bad ethics, the doctors who have made mistakes and killed someone accidentally, the sons of wealthy men who have squandered their fathers wealth, the principal who was caught in prostitution, the list is plenty. These are great men, but they have been deceived by the Babylonian gods of personal desire, prosperity, wealth and power. True wealth and power belongs to the creator. He gave men this honour to take care and occupy temporally yet they have coveted more than their own share of things. So in the end they lost their souls.
Mark 8:36King James Version (KJV)
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Job 35:13King James Version (KJV)
13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
If we think that coming to God is about wealth, prosperity and a good life then Jesus died for nothing. We are given the gift of eternal life, an abundant life, life without end. We will rule with him after this life, and he will be our King. All the rich guys of the world are wealthy and prosperous, yet God is not in them. So they don't need Jesus. Whatever they need they can buy with money. And after they made big money all of them want to be immortalised as a good man who did good for the world. In the process of getting rich they committed many sins. They betrayed confidence, they stole ideas; they treated people badly. Then they rise thinking all of these things that they acquire were blessed by God. Many also think that it is alright with God that their pass mistakes will be forgotten by God. The fairy tale of success is not a neat path or a formula. All roads are not straight, they bend as obstacles are in sight so are the ways of men.
God is the author of our lives, ask him to change it. Jabez did and God blessed him after he asked the Lord God to change it. In this world, whatever God has allowed it does not mean he has blessed, he may be setting someone up for failure by believing in the delusion and the lie that he has allowed. Wealth cannot save a dying man, only God can. Good works cannot save a man only God wills. Yes, there are some predestined to be in position of influence, those whom God has made for glory or destruction. But these are the exception.
1 Chronicles 4:10New International Version (NIV)
10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request.
Most men are in the valley of decision; they need to decide which way they should go. There is no place on earth to ask for forgiveness of sin, the only place is through Jesus for there is no one able to forgive sins, only the one who died for us. There is no sanctuary for the lost, for they cannot help a man rebuild himself. There is only one God who can provide the Mercy and the Grace to rebuild a broken life. He is the Almighty God and the saviour Messiah, Yeshua. This is the only true way to find peace and rest for our souls. Everyone must bow to this truth; no one can stand in the presence of this Truth. God bless you all, nothing is lost, all can be used for the Glory of God if you so decide. Give your life to God and he will make it into something beautiful to bless others, beauty for ashes.
