How to Attach a Face Frame With Pocket Screws
- 1). Place the pocket hole jig over the end of a piece of the frame and and secure it with a clamp. The pocket hole guides should be angled toward the end of the piece of wood.
- 2). Attach the pocket hole bit to your power drill. Insert the tip of the bit into one of the pocket hole guides in the pocket hole jig and drill a diagonal hole through the piece of wood. Repeat for the second pocket hole guide.
- 3). Remove the pocket hole jig by unfastening the clamp.
- 4). Place the second piece of wood beside the end of the first piece with pocket holes. Align the edges and form a corner of the frame with the two pieces. Use a face clamp to keep the pieces together.
- 5). Attach a pocket hole screw to the power drill and drill the screw through the first piece and into the second using one pocket hole as your guide. Repeat for the second pocket hole.
