Something else I want to mention, on your tracking, if you've got a song that you're hearing stylistically in one particular direction or you hear a song in your head that's similar to the direction you want to go in production, it doesn't hurt to bring a CD with you and play it for the band and say here's the kind of sound I'm after or here's the kind of feel or groove that I'm after and they can kind of use that to kind of go in the direction that you're hearing in their head. At the same time, if you're cutting something that you've got a great demo on already, don't get so hung up on that demo that you have to get them to play exactly what you've got. Make it your own production, make it your own arrangement of a song, individualize it. Once again, I want to encourage you to realize your dreams.
