    • 1). Fold two strands of string in half and string them through a swivel clip, snap hook or key chain.

    • 2). Separate the strands so that you have two strands in each hand. These should be folded around the hook and held in a 90-degree angle.

    • 3). Number the strings one through four beginning with the string on the far right.

    • 4). Pull string four in front of string number two and behind string number three. Hold the string tightly while pulling.

    • 5). Pull string number one behind string number two and around string number four while keeping the string tight.

    • 6). Repeat this pattern until you have reached the end of the lanyard.

    • 7). Tie ends together with a knot.
