Temporomandibular joint and muscle disorder or TMJ is a medical state where a patient suffers from jaw pain. It is common ailment for all age groups which may occur due to constant biting and hard hitting on one side of the jaw while eating mainly. TMJ causes severe pain in jaw and causes great discomfort for the suffering patient. It is nothing like an ordinary jaw pain and quick treatment is always recommended. Causes of TMJ: 

Actual causes of TMJ are yet known but causes that contribute most causing TMJ are pretty easy to avoid. As per most TMJ specialist, poor dental hygiene is the common cause that leads to TMJ.
