Comparing The Huawei Ascend D Quad XL And The Samsung Galaxy S3

1
This is the era for powerful and faster smartphones.
Yes, the year 2012 is the time for smartphones with Quad-Core processors.
In lieu of this, I will talk about two of the latest and most powerful smartphones for this year.
I will compare the upcoming Huawei Ascend D Quad XL and the newly released Samsung Galaxy S3.
Read on! Let us start with the displays of these handsets.
I will start with Huawei Ascend D Quad XL's display.
It packs a 4.
5" IPS+ LCD touch screen with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and pixel density of 326 ppi.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S3 packs a 4.
8" Super AMOLED touch screen with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and pixel density of 306 ppi.
When it comes to screen size, the Galaxy S3 is the winner.
They may have the same screen resolution but the Ascend D Quad XL's pixel density is higher.
So for that part a good one point goes to Huawei.
Let us now talk about their processing prowess.
I will start with Huawei again.
It packs a quad-core processor which clocks at a speed rate of 1.
5GHz.
You also have to note that this handset is using Huawei's very own chipset the K3V2.
When it comes to on-board memory this handset packs an 8GB worth of ROM and backed up with a 1GB worth of RAM.
You can also ad as much as 32GB worth of memory via the phone's microSD card slot.
On the other side of the table, Samsung packed its handset with the same quad-core processor but it only clocks at 1.
4GHz.
Samsung used the Exynos 4212 Quad chipset for this handset.
When it comes to its on-board memory this handset is found in 3 variants (16, 32, and 64GB worth of storage space) and backed up with 1GB worth of RAM.
You can also add as much as 64GB worth of memory on this handset via its microSD card slot.
They both have the same quad-core processor but one of them clocks faster than the other.
When it comes to memory space, it is quite obvious that the Galaxy S3 offers more than the Ascend D Quad XL.
Both of them get one point each.
Let us now move on to the cameras.
Huawei packed their handset with an 8MP shutter with a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels and can record videos at 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second (fps).
It also comes in with a 1.
3MP front-facing camera (720p).
On the other hand, Samsung packed its handset with an 8MP shutter with a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels.
It can also shoot videos at 1080 pixels and at 30 frames per second (fps).
But this time, it comes in with a 1.
9MP front-facing camera (720p).
They both have the same 8MP shutters, the only difference is the Galaxy S3 ships with a higher front-facing camera.
Last but not the least, let us talk about their operating systems.
Both of these handsets are pre-installed with the latest Android Iteration the Ice Cream Sandwich.
So, both of them are big winners on this area alone.
This is my brief comparison note on the Huawei Ascend D Quad XL and Samsung Galaxy S3.
