• Each HP a405n came with a 2.7-GHz Intel Celeron processor, 512 MB of system memory and 80 GB of hard drive space. Other features included a 3.5-inch 1.44-MB floppy disk drive, a CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive, integrated audio/video, and MPEG2 capabilities for playing full-motion digital video.

• Running on the Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition operation system, the a405n was aimed at home users who wanted basic functions such as surfing the web, checking email and preparing documents using a word processor.
  
  

Current Status

• As of August 2010, the HP Pavilion a405n is no longer in production, and it is not available for purchase at any retail store. Users can still buy parts and accessories for the computer; including memory upgrades and power supplies.
