How to Create an Icon for the Cookies Folder
- 1). Open Windows Explorer by double-clicking the My Computer or Computer icon on your Windows desktop.
- 2). Navigate to "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>" in Windows XP or Windows 2000, where <username> is the name of your user account. In Windows 7 and Windows Vista, navigate to "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows." In earlier versions of Windows, navigate to "C:\Windows\Cookies."
- 3). Click on the Cookies folder and drag it to your Windows Desktop. Hold down the ALT key while dragging the folder.
- 4). Rename the shortcut, if desired, by right-clicking the shortcut and clicking "Rename." Type in a new name for the shortcut.
- 5). Change the icon for the shortcut, if desired, by right-clicking the shortcut, clicking "Properties," and choosing the "Shortcut" tab. Click "Change Icon," choose a new icon, and click "OK." In Windows 7 and Windows Vista, the "Change Icon" button can be found on the "Customize" tab of the "Properties" window.
