Why You Should Avoid Affordable Apartments

2
The term "Affordable Apartments", is in all reality a way of saying that yes, you can easily make your monthly rental payments, but in fact it also means a higher crime rate exists.
Especially in larger metropolitan areas the only time you will see anything about apartments in the news is about violent crime, or a fire.
Usually a safe apartment community will be out of reach by the average working man or woman, as it will cost about three hundred dollars a month more than their housing budget will allow.
This is not to say that thefts and violent acts do not occur in luxury apartment communities, even out in the suburbs, but is less likely.
In the city illegal drug sales are usually based out of what is called Section 8 housing, as these are subsidized by the state, and federal government to help low income families.
This predicament prevents people that really need a home that they can afford to raise their children in safely, and not having to worry about exposing them to drugs, and violence in the very complex they live in currently.
A low-income family cannot afford to pay daycare to try to and work two jobs for an apartment in a better area of town, so their children fall prey to the environment they are living in at the time.
Looking outward to the suburbs can sometimes be a solution, but it too can mean higher rental prices.
There is however, government subsidized apartment complexes that are very well kept, and free of the trials, and tribulations that an inner city property has on a day-to-day basis.
These are not section eight apartments, but charge on a sliding scale according to the residents income.
The only drawback is that twice a year the management checks the income of each person on the lease, and if a renter has had a dramatic increase in the pay, his or her rent goes up as well.
In the end, a person should try to better him or herself through learning a professional trade that will double or even quadruple their current job as a laborer.
There are few if any employers in today's business economy that will pay more than a couple of dollars per hour over the minimum wage for unskilled labor, so education in one form or another must be obtained to raise the level of personal income to be able to rent or own a home in a safe neighbor hood.
