    • 1). Install Mandvd. How to do this will vary according to distribution. On Ubuntu, for example, ManDVD is in the repositories, so installing is as simple as browsing Synaptic for it or typing "sudo apt-get install mandvd" on the command line. Check out your distribution's repositories for a package called "mandvd." Failing that, check out the link at the bottom of this page for downloads.

    • 2). Start the program. It should be in your distribution's menu under "Sound and Video," labeled as "ManDvd." If it's not, the command "mandvd" should start the program.

    • 4). Begin adding media to the project. ManDVD accepts most video formats, and can even create a slideshow of pictures to be shown on a DVD. Other features include an introduction video for the DVD, DVD menus, basic editing and subtitles.
