God Is a Caring and Protecting Real Father

48
The more I discover Him by drawing closer to Him, and getting to know Him more by spending time with Him and His Word, the more the truth is uncovered of how his loving ways are.
He really and truly cares about everything in our lives.
We know of His grand design in sending His Son on our behalf.
Jesus is our Redeemer.
He accomplished what we could never do for ourselves.
But also on a much smaller scale, He even cares about little things that you need in life.
I am discovering this more and more.
We must trust Him in this, as we accept his care by using our faith.
An example is my snow tire episode.
This winter in Colorado Springs is a bit more challenging for me that it was last year.
Now mind you, I am a native California girl, so any snow can be a challenge for me.
But the amount of snow this year has increased so far.
I have been slipping and sliding more these days on my all weather tires which haven't worked for my at all.
I don't like driving in snow or much less on icy roads.
By God's grace, He has protected me from several accidents that were a close call.
Many times coming up to a stoplight I am shouting the name of 'Jesus' to stop my mini van which is a front wheel drive, as I slide and go over the stop line.
It has honestly been unnerving.
I told the Lord, 'Father, I want some snow tires.
' I do a lot of driving and sometimes in the mountains, but I decided I couldn't be held back any more, cooped up in the house every time it snowed.
He has protected me and kept me all the while.
There would be times when coming near a signal I would hear Him coaching me in my driving.
'Take your foot off the gas, step very lightly on the brake.
' So many times I could hear His voice like a protective father over his girl, trying to teach me the basics of snow driving.
Finally one morning I woke up early and made my mind up to go and buy these needful snow babies! I was on the road early and on the way my eyes noticed a place called 'Tire World', with an 'Open' sign.
But I was off to 'Tire King.
' By the time I got there, 'Tire King' was closed.
For this day was forecasted to be a heavy snowfall.
And it literally snowed constant all day long.
So I turned around discouraged that they were closed for they specialized in used tires.
As I went carefully on my merry way, I remembered the other place I passed.
Determined I pulled into the parking lot.
I believed God opened my eyes to this place to begin with, and that it was open as well.
Many schools were closed on this day, and roads were pretty bad.
They happen to have the snow studded tires that fit my car.
And being on a budget I asked, 'Can you just do the front two please?' 'Sorry, but that would be a safety hazard, we would have to do all four.
' In my heart I knew I was not leaving without them.
And in my heart I said to the Father 'Lord I trust you to work all the money out for me.
' And He did.
And they did put them on.
A fellow drove me home.
And later that evening as my daughter took me back to get my car, the 30 minute trip took us one and half hours through all the snow and ice and bumper to bumper traffic.
But once I got in that car coming home, I felt like I had a new lease on life.
I felt taken care of by my heavenly Father.
He worked it out that some extra money came that was not expected.
Yes, I know that He cares, and that it is not a coincidence.
For this happens over and over again.
He is gentle and caring over me.
Sometimes I will hear a thought, 'Take a different route home', only later to find a really bad accident with backed up traffic.
Trust Him.
Begin to see him as your own protective father, for truly He is very capable of being so.
