Accessing the Drives Via Windows Explorer

• 1). Insert the floppy disk, Zip disk or CD/DVD you want to access into your computer's floppy, Zip or CD/DVD drive.
  
  
• 2). Click "Start" and "My Computer" or "Computer" to open Windows Explorer.
  
  
• 3). Right click on your floppy, Zip or CD/DVD drive's icon, then select "Explore" or "Open" to view the disk's contents.
  
  
• 4). Click or double-click on one of the files on the disk to open the file.
  
  

Accessing the Drives Via Your Computer's Desktop

• 1). Insert the floppy disk, Zip disk or CD/DVD you want to access into your computer's floppy, Zip or CD/DVD drive.
  
  
• 2). Double click on the floppy, Zip or CD/DVD drive icon on your computer's "Desktop."
  
  
• 3). Click or double click on one of the disk's files to open it.
  
  

Accessing the Drives Via an Application

• 1). Insert the floppy disk, Zip disk or CD/DVD you want to access into your computer's floppy, Zip or CD/DVD drive.
  
  
• 2). Click "Start," "All Programs" and an application: Microsoft Word, Excel or other application.
  
  
• 3). Click "File" and "Open." Click on the down arrow next to "Look in:" and select your floppy, Zip or CD/DVD drive's icon.
  
  
• 4). Navigate to and click on a file on your floppy, Zip or CD/DVD drive. Click "Open" to open the file.
