  Kamala is a village and bay blessed with a long sandy beach and set on the Thai island of Phuket in the Andaman Sea, to the west of the mainland. Hotels on Phuket are almost exclusively aimed at the island's upmarket tourist industry, and Kamala hotels are clustered along the bay, overlooking the beach.
