2013 Cat Calendars

2
Cat calendars make perfect gifts for cat lovers of all ages. They are available in wall calendars, desk calendars, and page-a-day calendars. I've chosen here a variety of selections, including popular cat breeds, cat colors, and 2013 calendars by favorite artists, including Lesley Ann Ivory and the hilarious Gary Patterson. Some of these calendars also come in Desk Page a Day or other sizes, but I have selected only wall calendars for consistency.

2013 Tuxedo Cats Calendar

Tuxedo cats, fondly called "tuxies" by their legion of followers, have a color pattern reminiscent of a mens' tuxedo. Their white bib contrasts nicely with their overall black color, and quite often tuxies have white boots or "spats." Probably the most famous tuxedo cats is the Warner Brothers cartoon cat Sylvester, whose antics chasing Tweety Bird have been popular among children and adults for years. Sylvester and Tweety are a favorite among collectibles, and I have a large collection of collector mugs, figurines, and Christmas tree ornaments.

The Compare Prices link includes three different versions of tuxedo cats calendar. I have chosen this one simply because I like the photo on the front. Published by BrownTrout Publishers, this calendar measures 12" X 12", a handy size for a wall calendar.More »

2013 Tabby Cats Wall Calendar

Tabby cats are almost ubiquitous, they are so popular. I think of them as the All-American Cats, and tabbies are my hands-down favorite color pattern of cats. Tabbies are one of the oldest cat color patterns, as descendents of the African wild cat (Felis silvestris libyca), and the jungle cat (Felis chaus)first domesticated by the Egyptians.

This calendar includes a variety of tabbies in different settings, and is sure to please the eye of those who love tabby cats. Published by BrownTrout Publishers, the calendar pages are 11.8" x 11.8".More »

2013 Black Cats Wall Calendar

Black cats are a huge favorite among many cat lovers. Because of their unfair reputation for being "unlucky," or "witch's cats,"black cats are still feared by some. However, those who know the true facts about black cats, love black cats not only because of the stark beauty of their color, but because they are, as a rule, sweet, loving cats. As a point of trivia, the Bombay cat is the only breed which allows only one acceptable color (black, of course.)

By BrownTrout Publishers, this calendar measures 11.8" x 11.6".More »

2013 Maine Coon Cat Calendar

The Maine Coon is the second most popular registered cat breed, and no wonder. The "Gentle Giant" is a gorgeous cat with an unbeatable personality. Take a look at our Maine Coon Picture Gallery, and if you are blessed with one of these cats, you may submit your own photo with an easy form

Whether you are the proud parent of a Maine Coon, or simply an admirer of the breed, you'll love to display this Maine Coon Cat Calendar on a wall. Published by BrownTrout, the calendar measures 11.8 x 11.6 inches, and on Amazon received an average of 5 star rating by those who purchased it.More »

2013 Ragdoll Cats Calendar

Named for their habit of relaxing their bodies completely when held by their favorite humans, Ragdoll cats are among the top 10 most popular breeds of cats. They are intensely devoted to their people and a Ragdoll will follow you from room to room, chirping all the time in her musical voice.

Another BrownTrout publication, the Ragdoll calendar measures 11.8 x 11.7 inches, and will make a colorful wall decoration as well as a useful calendar for jotting down birthdays, appointments, and other daily reminders.More »

2013 Siamese Cats Calendar

"Meezers," as Siamese cats are lovingly called, have been a universally favorite breed for years. Named after their country of origin, called Siam at that time, the Siamese breed has undergone some changes in its appearance over the years. You'll find afficianados for each variety, including the "Applehead," the "Traditional," and the "Classic."

As with all the BrownTrout wall calendars, this one measures approximately 12" x 12" and is filled with photos of sleek, svelte "Meezers" in colorful settings.More »

2013 Persian Cats Calendar

The Persian has remained the number one favorite cat breed for several years, and it's likely that 2013 will be no exception. Although there are several versions of how the Persians came to England and then America, it is generally agreed that their origin was in Persia (now known as Iran). Once only owned by royalty, Persians are now loved as companions by us common ordinary folks as well as prized as show cats among acclaimed breeders. They do require a lot of maintenance, but if you are not prepared to make that commitment, you can love them from afar as gorgeous photos on a calendar. This wall calendar, also created by BrownTrout, measures its standard 12" x 12" More »

2013 Ivory Cat Calendar

Although she is most well-known by cat lovers for her amazing cat art that decorates everything from greeting cards to coffee mugs to decorator plates, Lesley Anne Ivory's lovely cat art also decorates calendars.

Although there are several Ivory calendars available for 2013, I selected this one because I loved the illustration on the cover. Her paintings almost always feature her own cats, and this calendar appears to show paintings on collector plates (another collector's item I'm addicted to.) Published by BrownTrout, 12" x 12".More »

2013 A Cat in the Garden Calendar

Phogographer Del Greger has been responsible for a number of "Cat in the Garden" calendars over the years, and I have purchases at least one in years past. Although I recommend keeping cats indoors unless closely supervised, I must admit they make lovely pictures.

The calendar for 2013 is published by Pomegranate (Cal) and measures 12.7 x 11.8More »

2013 Gary Patterson Cats Calendars

Beloved cat cartoon artist Gary Patterson is so prolific that he has created at least four cat calendars for 2013 in a number of different configurations. I selected this one because I loved the drawing on the front. A cat in a bird bath may seem to be a diabolical thought, but when you see the red tabby cat sleeping peacefully while half a dozen bluebirds cavort on his back, the impression seems more innocent. (As long as you remember cats are predators.)

Sold by Poster Revolution, the calendar measures 11" x 12". If this one is sold out, remember that there are several other varieties available, so don't give up right away.

2013 The Literate Cat Calendar

Another BrownTrout creation, the Literate Cat calendar is replete with wonderful photographs of cats in varied settings, and illustrated with literary sayings and quotes. (Never underestimate the intelligents of cats.) This beautiful calendar measures "14 x 12" and would be a nice gift for your favorite bibliophile.More »

2013 Charles Wysocki Cat Tales Wall Calendar

I'd have to say that Charles Wysocki'scat art is probably my favorite of all, and is sought out by collectors all over the world. He also is famous for his Americana art, and if I had enough wall space, I'd purchase some of those calendars too. One of my all-time favorite paintings of his is Frederick the Literate.

Published by AMCAL, the 2013 Cat Tales calendar measures 13.4" x 12.1" and includes a picture of the "Frederick the Literate" painting. Wysocki's art is so beloved that this calendar would make a welcome gift for almost every cat lover.Buy from Amazon »
