Reviews after watching Rizzoli & Isle

If you like TV shows where the ladies show Run - what am I saying? We are gay, of course, we do it: Buffy Summers thought, Xena, erm, Tyra Banks - then the new U.S. crime drama Rizzoli & Isles should appeal greatly. Rizzoli & Isles is a procedural crime drama series based on novels by China-American novelist Tess Gerritsen and stars Angie Harmon (Law & Order, Baywatch) as Detective Jane Rizzoli and Sasha Alexander (Dawson, NCIS ) in as chief medical examiner Maura Isles.

Each episode of Boston duo exploit the rotation of the murder case, in which are interwoven subplots light that shines in a couple of personal life. Both of these lead to one at this time, so injuries are a source of comedy to balance out with a grim world of murder, in which they work.

With the recent wave of great American theater, which operates up to a high level to which we are accustomed. Harmon, in particular, is a revelation as the Rizzoli. Role on Law & Order - as the prosecutor Abbie Carmichael no-nonsense - while excellent, was a little 'simplistic. It 'nice to see him more able to flex its muscles to act, the actor shows more. Alexander is equal to the socially awkward encyclopedia on-legs, Dr. Maura Isles, although it has the dubious bit of Hollywood to be obsessed with fine clothes and expensive shoes, not to mention the fantastic.

When you think of a woman driven crime shows Cagney & Lacey (the hugely popular 1980s detective series) and would naturally think an obvious comparison to make with Rizzoli and Isles, but in this case, a fair. As the great Cagney & Lacey, a Rizzoli and Isles of nuances and gritty simple chemistry between the two son makes great fun to watch. The darker elements are often offset by the dialogue is often humorous, in particular, are scenes in which Rizzoli is frustrated about personality quirks of the islands' very funny.

Surrounding the two cables can be adequately expressed. We use the mother intriguing Rizzoli (Lorraine Bracco) and his younger brother (Jordan Bridges), who is the man of the Boston Police Police Department. Then there Rizzoli colleagues: Detective Vince Korsak (played by Bruce McGill) is a Senior Detective Constable who used to be the partner Rizzoli, but was replaced by Detective Bruce Frost (Lee Thompson Young), which in turn is a good detective, not the blood in the stomach, which is doing a wonder why he became a homicide detective ...

Apart from a couple of questionable character traits, Rizzoli and Isles is an excellent successor-in-cheek Cagney & Lacey, although it may be ashamed of similar shows run by women were more frequent after the peak of their popularity in the 1980s. On that note, it is heartening to note that Rizzoli & Isles was well received in America, where the second series has just started airing and one third has already been ordered. Even if you are not in police dramas - and let's face it, the British have never really excelled in the dramatic genre (Life on Mars to another) - it's worth tuning.
