Wouldn't it be great if all those ads were true, that you could build a network marketing (multilevel marketing) business without ever talking to anyone? Anybody with common sense knows that's just not realistic -- and if you ever have a chance to talk with someone who's been successful in network marketing, ask them if they ever had to talk to someone in order to reach their level of success.

Okay, so communicating with someone is a necessity. It can be done online, which means those of us who are introverts can pretend we're not and handle contacting and recruiting via email, etc. But no matter how much of a hermit you are, you're eventually going to be out and the perfect opportunity is going to present itself to you.

You can let it pass, but you'll kick yourself later. Wouldn't it be better to be ready to take advantage of an opportunity when it comes around? Of course! So let me give you a tip on something that can work gangbusters for you.

Many people have business cards printed up and those can be handed to people -- but if you really don't want to talk to someone that's not enough -- all you're giving them is contact information. Instead, write up a few simple little articles, just 300-500 words, that explain different aspects of your business.

For example, one could focus on the products and one could focus on the business opportunity. That way no matter what someone is interested in, you're covered. Now you can hand someone an article that does the "pitch" for you. And if it was published, even on the internet, you can say, "Here's an article I wrote about our products that was published online."

That gives you some instant credibility!

Sidebar: Please do NOT lie about where it was published, etc. Those things are so easy to check out you'll get caught in a lie and then you're out of luck with that person and everyone they talk to about you.

There's also something else an article can do -- it can take the pressure of the prospect and give them a chance to discover something about the product or opportunity without feeling like they've just been ambushed. And while it may be a "passive" way to make your pitch, the people who contact you after reading the article are pre-qualified -- they're very high-value prospects.

Articles can be posted online for electronic lead generation or printed and posted on bulletin boards for offline lead generation. On a bulletin board full of business cards your article give good information about your product or opportunity will really stand out.
