Hotels in De Wallen, Amsterdam
- The Damrak Inn is a two-star hotel in the De Wallen district. It's opposite Beurs van Berlage, the world's first stock exchange, and next to the mooring place for many of the canal boats that offer tours of the city. Dam Square is less than five minutes' walk, and you are less than a mile from Amsterdam's cultured Jordaan district with its quirky bars, book and antique shops. Rooms all have a private shower and toilet along with cable TV.
- The Park Plaza is a four-star hotel directly opposite Amsterdam's railway station, 15 minutes by train from Schipol Airport. The historic building at the beginning of the Damrak is close to the main shopping district and a range of restaurants and steakhouses. The hotel has a business center, fitness center and currency exchange in addition to its Brassiere and Season's Garden Restaurant. Other nearby attractions include the Anne Frank House and the Heineken Experience.
- The Winston Hotel is a venue for art lovers and party animals, with its own bar, restaurant and beer garden, not to mention its own infamous nightclub next door. The beer garden and smoking deck overlook the red-light alleyways of De Wallen, and the Winston Kingdom nightclub plays tunes late into the night including cheesy classics, house, soul and dubstep. Hotel facilities include complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi and fresh towels daily. Laptops are available to rent.
- The Heart of Amsterdam hostel offers budget accommodations at the heart of Amsterdam's red-light area. Its design is inspired by American movies such as "Pulp Fiction," "Sin City" and "Kill Bill." Guests are provided with a personal safe and locker. The hostel is a three-minute walk from Centraal Station and ideally located for access to some of the area's iconic bars, such as the Grasshopper and Stone's Cafe.
