Lift tickets for kids start at $10 and mountain runs cater to all levels of skiers; the area also offers a wide array of activities besides skiing, in various price ranges, to keep vacationers happy. Homewood Ski Resort

• With breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe and surrounding mountains, the Homewood Ski Resort caters to family vacationers in a smaller, intimate setting.
