How to Deal With Sleep Wrinkles
- 1). Massage your moisturizing day lotion into your facial skin when you wake up. Use medium to firm pressure to loosen excess fluids and smooth wrinkled skin.
- 2). Choose the right pillow. If you notice sleep wrinkles happening often, consider changing your pillow. Use a nonsynthetic pillow, such as one with down feathers, that you can fluff easily. Such pillows offer long-term comfort while you sleep.
- 3). Select a better pillowcase. Cotton pillowcases can actually cause these sleep wrinkles, so choose satin or silk as an alternative. Make sure you wash it once a week, and halfway through the week flip your pillow over to the clean side.
- 4). Sleep on your back. The American Academy of Dermatology reports that you can reduce wrinkle formation by not sleeping on your side or stomach.
