How to Word a Welcome Sign
- 1). Add the "Welcome" message at the top of the sign to increase visibility and send a clear message to visitors. Letters might be capitalized, italicized or bolded to separate them visually from other lettering on your welcome sign.
- 2). Include location or business in the area immediately below the welcome message. Accent this information by creating larger or raised lettering. Try using bolded and complementary colors to accent lettering. Your logo or interesting saying might go immediately below this business or location.
- 3). Add instructions for visitors below location or business. This may include graphics such as arrows pointing towards an area of interest or central location. The instruction lettering should be smaller than the welcome or location information, but large enough to be readily visible from within a few feet.
